History
Polling Center was established in 1998 in Jakarta, as a first research company in Indonesia that met the market needs for social, economic, and political research, which is in the prior years was forbidden by New Era Government.
Field of research in social, economic, and political aspects is not a domination of urban area only; therefore Polling Center develops its coverage, not only big cities, but reaching out small towns, villages, and remote areas across Indonesia.
Polling Center is also the first research company who introduced Lifestyle Study in Rural Area and for that breakthrough; Polling Center achieved a MURI award. The Lifestyle Study is always renewed and now has been extended to Urban Lifestyle Study.
In 1999 and 2004 when Indonesia conducted a General Election, Polling Center participated in those events by conducting an accurate Quick Count of national election results.
