Thomas W Ramelan, a Libran and “Betawiness (Jakarta’s natives) at heart”, was born in Kemayoran. He graduated from Portsmouth University, England, in 1980. During 28 years, he pouched four badges of life: executive, entrepreneur, educator, and social activist. Endowed with the mentality of a patriotic soldier, Thomas was maneuvering around from “consumers’ goods marketing, advertising, audiovisual creation & content development, telecommunication services, rescue & protection, to social, marketing and political researches.
“Science is the Priest, service is the prayers”. He holds the guidance by Imam Al Ghozali, a Sufi intellectual, as a principle of his life. It said that initially we shall capture the knowledge of a service before we pay a devotion. Without knowledge, efforts, opportunity, and investment we have made we would end up uselessly.
Departing from decision making by facts and data, and backed up by his comrades, Thomas built up Polling Center.
